April Fool's Day Blog Hop

***Blog hop is officially over at Midnight 4/3 CST - will pick the winner tomorrow!! ***

Welcome to It's A Joy 2 Scrap's April Fool's Day Blog Hop! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday! If you came here from Jennie, you are in the right place.

However, if you happened upon my blog and want to start from the beginning, please head over to April's blog It's A Joy 2 Scrap so you don't miss any of the fun or blog candy!

For this hop, we were asked to create a project that “tricks the eye.”
I thought what would be fun would be to do a "Never Ending Card". I'd never tried one of these before and thought it would be cute and appropriate since as you open the card, it goes on, and on, and on, only to end up back where you started!

Also, April Fool's Day is my husband's birthday so I thought I would make the card for him!! (I tried to make is as masculine as possible!)

Here's one of many great tutorials out there on how to make this type of card!

The cartridges I used on this project were Live Simply, Celebrations, Sweet Treats, Paisley, and Plantin School Book.

Front Of the Card

What you see after the first flip...

What you see after the second flip...

What you see after the third flip...

If you flip it one more time, you end up right where you began!!

I've pulled together some cute stamp sets, brass stencils, and embellishments for my blog candy. To be eligible for the drawing, just leave me a comment and a way to get a hold of you. ***You don't have to be a follower but I'd love it if you chose to! *** If you don't claim your prize within one week, I will award it to the next person.

***Don't forget! If you leave a comment on ALL the blogs by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. CST. You have a chance to win some fabulous prizes.***

Next in line is Tiffany from Sparkled Memories. What I like about her blog/style is that she makes cards that range from really CUTE to sophisticated.

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 67

Mary and her wonderful DT over at Cricut Cardz Challenge are currently hosting a Spring, Pink, Green, and White ONLY challenge. I knew for these colors, I wanted to use the Florals Embellished cartridge again. What's really funny is that I worked up a yellow, green, and white project before I realized I had the colors wrong! Oh well! Add another card to my collection!

Hope you enjoy the card. For some reason, I really agonized over the layout but I think it came out just fine.

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate when you take the time to leave comments!

Another Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Scrappy Mom's is having another Terrific Tuesday Challenge. The object of this one is to use something from the Smiley Cards. I haven't cut any images from this since, I think, December, so I thought this would be a good challenge to participate in!

I love the happy cake and I figured he (since I cut him in blue) should be on a birthday card! The paper is from the DCVW Birthday Stack. I cut the confetti, packages, and hat from the Celebrations Cartridge.

Hope you enjoy my latest project. Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate the time you take when you leave a comment! :)

Challenge Me Monday #52

March 21st is Robin's birthday over at Fantabulous Cricut. It's also the blogs 1 year anniversary! In celebration of both events, FCCB is hosting a Happy Birthday Challenge.

I just bought the Florals Embellished cartridge so I wanted to be a good girl and use it right away! I was instantly drawn to this bird. The papers I used are all printed from the Best Friends Imagine Cartridge.

Although my card turned out to be a simple one, I wish I could say the process in creating it was simple also, but it was not. I went through many layout and color changes until I came out with the finished product! Maybe I shouldn't have tried this while I was sick, but, oh well!!

I hope you enjoy the card! Thanks for taking the time to stop by! And as usual, I welcome any comments and followers!!

Throwback Thursday Challenge, Cooking With Cricut Challenge # 21, and Paper Cutz Challenge #83

There are 3 challenges out there that I am entering this card into.

First, Emma at My Creative Time is hosting a Throwback Thursday Challenge. Actually she's been doing this for some time but this is the first time I'll get to participate! The goal of her challenge is to use an older Cricut Cartridge and use green in the project.

The second challenge is Cooking With Cricut's Challenge #21. Their goal is to use 2 shades of green in your project.

The third challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge # 83 is to make any project, with any theme, with any colors.

I whipped up this cutie elephant from Birthday Bash and used some dimensionals to give his ear a 3D look. The background paper is from DeNami design.

Hope you enjoy this quick & easy project! As usual, I appreciate the comments and would love if you chose to follow my blog!

Pinkalicious Blog Hop - "Spring" Challenge

Robyn at My Pink Stamper is hosting a Pinkalicious Blog Hop right now. It's pretty cool. There's a lot of great blogs out there participating.

In conjunction with this Blog Hop, she's having a Spring challenge. I wanted to participate so I thought up this Springtime Bee Card to enter. I used the Paisley Cartridge, which I haven't used for quite awhile. I did fire up my Cricut Imagine for this project. The papers on the card are from the Best Friends cart. I don't have any of Robyn's stamps, yet, so I used a Studio G stamp.

Thanks for looking!

Creative Sisters Monday Challenge - Think Spring!

I just discovered that Patti-Lynn Creations is hosting a Think Spring Challenge! Yay!

In my previous post, I mentioned that I just bought the Sure Cuts Alot software and am CRAZY for the files you can get over at SVG Cuts. Well, when I found this latest challenge, I just had to whip up one of the bird houses.

The one thing I enjoy about Spring is hearing the birds chirping after going through a quiet winter.

Hope you enjoy the project! Thanks for stopping by! Your comments sure are appreciated.

Sure Cuts Alot & SVG Cuts

Well, after a free trial period, I decided to make the jump and purchase the Sure Cuts Alot software! I had to go with SCAL instead of Make The Cut since I own a Mac.
I have to say I am so pleased with the first projects I made. The software was easy to install and I was cutting right away! I bought my first SVG files from SVG Cuts and I like how the files are color coded. They help keep me straight when placing my paper on my cutting mat. Also, they have a free file about once a week you can download! Yay!
Here are 3 projects I put together yesterday. I am so excited with how they came out and look forward to making more!

Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge - B is for Boy/Sugar & Spice

I've been absent for awhile from all the great challenges that are out there. I had to wrap things up at work and start to ease into a new routine. Things have finally calmed down so I'm excited to be able to participate in this challenge.

The kitty in the Sugar & Spice cartridge is one of my favorites so I just had to use her. Although I have a huge paper collection, none of the papers were appealing to me for this project. (I know that's probably never happened to other people. LOL!) So instead of buying MORE paper, I fired up my Cricut Imagine and tada a new project came about. The papers are from the Best Friends cartridge. I don't have the Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals stamp set, yet so I hope it is OK that I used a different stamp.

I'm happy with the way the card came out.

Thanks for looking! Any comments are appreciated!
