Design Team News!

Well, the cat is now out of the bag!

Joy from Joy's Life just announced her DT for March - May 2012.
I can now say that I am one of the new members!! :) I am so excited!

I first found Joy over 1 1/2 years ago when I started surfing the web for Cricut videos. She has lots of great ideas and how to's. I really like her humor and humility. In addition to all those wonder projects she features, Joy also has her own super cute stamp sets!!!

I'm honored to be working the talented people who make up the Design Team and appreciate the opportunity that Joy has given me. In the coming months, she will be revealing new stamp sets, as well as, new cutting files! We'll be working with both Cricut and Silhouette machines. It should be LOADS of fun!

If you get a moment, stop by and say "hi" to the new team!

Welcome & Congratulations Design Team!!

Nancy Kubo is in the house!

Hello, everyone!
If you are a fan of Cricut's Create A Critter Cartridge and have access to some of the other SVG programs and cutters out there, I just want to pass this along.

If you didn't know already, Lettering Delights came out with Nancy's Happy Holidays in December.

Aren't they sooo cute?

According to Jin at Under A Cherry Tree, there's a new set coming out SOON! Yippee!

I just LOVE Nancy's style and pretty much will buy anything she creates! So I thought I'd pass the exciting news along!

Hope you are all having a wonderful, crafty day!

Joy's Life DT Call!

Hello, everyone!

I had to make this card when I found out that Joy at Joy's Life was having a DT Call! I was super excited since she has such great ideas and rubber stamps. I decided I would put my hand up since my last DT experience was fun!

Here's the punny card I came up with:

The saying is from Joy's Lots Of Puns Stamp set. I thought I'd use it to mean that it was sweet that she was having a DT call and that cupcake sure does look sweet, also!

Both the snake and cupcake are from the Silhouette online store. I designed the bracket myself using the Designer Studio. The paper is from Paper Studio's I Love Baking Scrapbook Kit. The circle and scallop are Nestabilities.

I think the odds are tight to make it on her DT but Joy's videos were some of the first I found about 1.5 years ago. I immediately liked her sense of humor! At the time, I didn't realize how much paper crafting was out there in internet. That was the beginning of my blog and challenge adventure.

Hope you all are having a good day!

Link Up Love Party With K Andrew Valentine Card!

Hello, everyone!

I recently picked up Doodlebug's Sweet Cakes paper packs in both 12x12 and 6x6 sizes. I sure do LOVE Doodlebug's products! The bright happy colors are right up my alley! I knew I wanted to make another Hello Kitty card and with Valentine's Day around the corner, here's what I came up with.

Hello Kitty is a Sizzix die. The round cut outs are Nestabilities. The heart is from my Silhouette. I designed the bracket and cut it out on my Cameo. Since I don't have a lot of Valentine's stamps, I printed the saying, positioned it on the bracket and used Cut & Print...just LOVE that feature!

In addition to entering this card at:
Getting Cricky With K Andrew Valentine Link Up Love Party - where you can get to meet other bloggers and find inspiration

I am going to enter it in these challenges, also:
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Cartoon Characters
Celebrate The Occasion Challenge #46 - Anything With Polka Dots
Sarah Hamer Designs - What are you up to Link Up Party
Little Scrap Pieces - Anything Goes
Wacky Wednesday #63 - Let's Get Animated!

Hope you enjoy the card! It was fun to make & I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for stopping by!

Lettering Delights Card Inspired By Jin

Hello to all you paper crafters out there!

I know Christmas is over but I want to post a pic of the card I made for my mother. (Seems like with the rush of the holidays, I only photographed projects and did not get a chance to blog about them!)

Jin over at Under A Cherry Tree posted a beautiful card she had made using Lettering Delight's Nancy's Happy Holidays files. (Did you notice the "Nancy" in the file name? She's the same wonderful Nancy Kubo, that designed the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge!!) I knew instantly that I wanted to make a shape card with the letters using the Silhouette Design Studio. Since I live close to my Mom, I could jam out the card and hand deliver it in time for Christmas.

Here's what I came up with:

I don't know if you can tell but I used Stickles on the white parts of letters. The paper is from the HUGE 180 page Recollections Bright and Jolly paper pack. (I think I'll be crafting with that pack for a long time!)

Jin was featuring products inspired by her work and I am thrilled that she posted my card! Her blog is one that I tend to check daily for inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Showcased By The Die Cuttin' Diva!

I was checking my Google reader this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see my Cupcake card as one of the two cards featured by the Die Cutting Divas!

Things like this seem to happen to me when I feel like my creativity is at its lowest. I am thankful for this recognition because it motivates me to keep trying and creating more! :)

Cupcake Birthday Card

Hello!
As I mentioned before, there are a lot of January birthdays in my family. I created this card with my sister, Barb, in mind.

I'm hoping to participate in more challenges this year just to help keep the creative juices flowing! Die Cutting Divas is currently running a sketch challenge. Here's what we are to work with.

And here's what I came up with! The papers I used are from the Echo Park Papers Life Is Good pack that I just picked up! I just LOVE the colors! The cupcake die cut is from Rock Princess! Who would have thought it? I also snuck in a few flowers cut with my Silhouette.

I'm also entering this into these additional challenges:

Hiding In My Craft Room Challenge #27 - Freestyle
Cooking With Cricut - Challenge #67 - Something New - Echo Park Papers
My Craft Spot Challenge #40 - It's Delicious
Birthday Sundaes Challenge #38 - Birthday Card with Something New Echo Park Papers
