Life Is Smore Fun With You Spinner Card

Hello, all you paper crafters!

This week, Joy is having the Design Team create projects that move.   I had never done a Spinner Card before, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to learn something new!

Here's my version!

And here's a closeup of the stamp I used from Joy's Life's Wild Life Puns set.  If you don't already have it, you can buy it here.

The quilled campfire was not in my original plans but I thought the card could use a little spicing up!  I am a novice paper quiller but I like it came out.

For the track that the smore spins on, I drew a squiggly line with Silhouette Designer's studio.  You can see from the picture of my mat below that it is a very basic drawing.

Here's my first video (yay!) showing you the card in action.  It actually works!!!

Here's a link to a great video on how to make spinner cards.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Surprise Pop Up Slider Card

Hello, all you paper crafters out there!   I hope your day is going well.

This week on Joy's DT Blog, we are featuring fancy folds.   I thought I would try a Surprise Pop Up Slider card for the first time!  I found it to be really simple & fun!

Here's a shot of the card I came up with when it is closed:

Here's what it looks like as you start to pull the top tab out.

And here is what it looks like when it is completely opened.

Now for a closeup of the stamp I used.  This saying comes from Joy's Wild Life Puns set.  If you don't have this fun set yet, you can get it HERE!

I used paper from the DCWV Green Stack.  The deer and mushroom are from a Silhouette Print and Cut file. (The deer was so cute that I had to use him!) P&C files are also perfect if you are pressed for time.

As for how to construct the card, you can find a great video tutorial here!

Just a reminder, Joy is releasing 4 new stamp sets in April!  You'll get free shipping on any pre-orders of these sets.  If you buy all 4 during this time, you get free shipping plus 10% off!  What a deal! You can pre-order them HERE!

Thanks for stopping by! I always appreciate visitors!

Ruff Day Card

Today I have for you a card made using my Silhouette Cameo and featuring Joy's Life's rubber stamp set, You're So Punny!

(If you don't have this wonderful stamp set, you can pick it up HERE.)

I been on a dog theme lately and here is what I came up with:

The dog is from the Just Hanging Out Dog in the Silhouette store.

You can see in this closeup that Joy's stamps imprint well on
textured paper such as Bazzill.

I designed this card by drawing a rectangle the size of the finished card in my Silhouette Designer's Studio.  I then placed the images within that rectangle and resized as needed.  What I LOVE about that software is that I could shrink the tree in both directions so it did not take up too much of the card space.

I hope you enjoyed the card for today!  Thank you for taking the time to leave comments.  I know you are all busy.  I read all of them and appreciate it!

Joy's Life St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop!

Welcome to The Crafty Kitten for Joy's Life's
St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop!

If you have come from visiting Nina at Waffle Flower then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stumble upon this post and want to start at the beginning at Joy's Life, click HERE.

The Design Team is putting on the green by featuring projects made with Joy's wonderful rubber stamps.

Here's what I came up with!

Here's a closeup of the pot of gold. I filled it with those fun chocolate coins!  The saying is from Joy's You're So Punny stamp set.

Here's a closer look at the dog card.  I had a lot of fun making him!  The saying is from Joy's Holiday Occasions Stamps.

Both projects were made with my Silhouette.  The pot of gold is 6"x6" and the card is 5"x7".  Instead of using Nestabilities for the ovals on the card, I used two Silhouette files and was able to size/stretch the ovals exactly as needed.

Now how about some Blog Candy??
I am going to give one lucky hopper their choice of any in stock Joy's Life stamp set. Yay!!

You have two chances to be entered in this drawing:

1) Leave me one comment on what you think of my projects & how you celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Happy Birthday Shadow Box Card

Hello, paper crafters! I hope your day is going well.

For our Design Team project this week we were to use either Joy's Life's
Holiday Occasions or Everyday Occasions stamp set.
I decided to work with both sets today.

This card is my first attempt at a Shadow Box card. You can easily do this
with a scoring pad but I decided to draw mine on my Silhouette.

Here's what my Silhouette Mat looked like:

If you are using a scoring pad, you'd cut the card back and front at
4.25" x 5.5". Score both cards at 1/2" and 1" on both sides. Use your
Nestabilities to cut the window out of one of your pieces of card stock.
The card folds flat for easy mailing!

Here's a closeup of the rubber stamp that I used.
If you don't already have these versatile rubber stamp sets,
you can buy them HERE!

I used Echo Park paper's Country Drive for the card. The flower basket is from Silhouette.

Thanks for stopping by! Your comments are always appreciated!

Stay tuned for more Joy's Life projects!

All Occasion Cards

Hello, all you paper crafters out there! I hope you have been having a wonderful day so far!

I am so excited because today is the first day that I post as a member of Joy's Life's Design Team! Yay! Joy is such a nice and generous person and I am honored to be part of this great team! This group of ladies is super talented so I hope you'll stick with us in the coming months as we get creative with Joy's great products!

This week we were given the opportunity to create whatever we chose to.
If this your first time visiting my blog, you'll see that I like to craft in vibrant colors.

For this weeks project, I came up with a super card set using Joy's Lots Of Pun stamp set. If you don't already have it, you can buy it HERE!

I used Cricut's Create A Critter for this project and paper from Pebbles Inc's Hip Hip Hooray! line. I welded a flower on my Cricut Gypsy for the base of each of these cards. They measure about 4.5" I used my circle Nestibilites to cut the frames and a scallop punch for the half circles. A Souffle pen was used for the hand drawn stitching.

What I love about clear stamps is that you can curve them if you want to

As you can see, this is a great stamp set. It comes with 21 puns and 2 images.

These super cute images go well with the Lots Of Pun stamp set

I hope you enjoy the projects for today. Thanks for stopping by! I read and appreciate every comment!
