Jukebox CD Case

Hello, all you crafters!

Today, I have for you a project using those fun CD cases now available at Joy's Life.com.

I'm going to burn music that my sister loves and give this to her for her birthday.

Covering this case is easy!  I just measured it, rounded the corners, and adhered it with tape.  I used Cricut's Nifty Fifties cartridge for this project.  The jukebox is cut out at 4 1/2".

The stamp I used for the front is from Joy's new Tag You're It - Set One.  If you haven't added these stamps to your collection, you can get them here

Here's the inside of the case.

I embossed the paper inside using Quickutz's Retro Diamonds folder to add some texture to it.

Everyday Occasions from Joy's Life is the stamp set I used for the CD.

You can pick up all the stamps used for this project and the CD case here.

That's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate all your comments.

Well Done, Graduate!

 Hello, everyone!

Today I have a quick and easy graduation card for you!
This simple card is great if you are in a crunch to make a graduation card quickly.

It opens up like this.

The stamps come from Joy's Everyday Occasions and Yummy Puns stamp sets. You can get Everyday Occasions  here and Yummy Puns here.

I used the Silhouette Graduation Cap card file for this.  To make it a little elegant, I used gold paper, ink, and embossing powder. (My hubby was happy with this project since these colors were his high school colors.)

That's all I have for today.  I hope you all have a great day!  As usual, any comments are appreciated!

It's A Party Blog Hop with Joy's Life!

Welcome to The Crafty Kitten for Joy's Life's
  It's A Party Blog Hop!

If you have hopped over from Nina then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stumble upon this post and want to start at the beginning at Joy's Life, click HERE.

The Design Team has put together some really fun party ideas for you made with Joy's rubber stamps.

I wanted to do a kid's party theme using, of course, Nancy Kubo papers and graphics.  Here's what I came up with:

I used the Print and Cut feature of my Cameo and
created invitations, place cards, hats, and cupcake
toppers.

The hat is a Silhouette file topped off with a rosette.

The invitation and place cards were also made using coordinating paper.

The stamp I used on the cupcake toppers comes from Joy's Halloween Puns stamp set.   (Pretty versatile, huh?)

Now how about some Blog Candy??

I'm going to give away your choice of any in stock rubber stamp set from JoysLife.com!  The winner will have a lot of fun playing with it!

You're So Sweet!

Hello, everyone!  I hope you are doing well.

We are having so much fun this week at Joy's Life creating "It's so sweet, we could overdose on sugar" projects!

Here's a "sweet" waterfall card I created! The popsicles are cut from Doodlebug glitter paper to make them even sweeter!!!

Some pics of the card in action as you pull on the tab with the ribbon.

The stamps I used is from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set.  She's currently out of stock, but you can pick up your own set here.

This time around, I used Doodle Charms and my Cricut to make this.

Here's a link to a video on how to make these. Below, I've posted a quick video of my card in action!
(Sorry that it's blurry if you expand the screen.  Still figuring out how to fix that!)

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.  Hope you have a creative day!!!

"Life is the flower..." Mother's Day Purse

Hello, everyone! Hope you are all having a creative day.

Just in time for May 13th, over at Joy's Life's Design Team blog we are featuring floral projects for Mother's Day this week.

I made this little purse for my mom. I'm going to put a gift card and a couple of small presents in it.

This nice saying comes from Joy's Tag You're It - Set Two.  If you don't have it yet, you can purchase it here.

I used my trusty Cameo to make this project and the  following files... 3D trapezoid purse, bow - petals, and 3D flower heart petal.  All the papers come from Echo Park Paper's new Hello Summer set.  (I just love the happy colors!)

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate any comments you leave.

 Happy Mothers Day!!

Embossed Floral Card & Giveaway!!!

Hi, everyone!  Thanks for stopping by!

This has been a fun week of projects and related give aways at the Design Team Blog at JoysLife.com.  For my post, I am featuring a must-have tool for any crafter.

The stamp is from Joy's Tag You're It - Set Two.

Can you guess what the giveaway for my post is?

Joy has these lovely embossing folders to give to one lucky person!

(All you have to do is leave a comment on the Design Team blog and be a follower of it!)

Now here's how I made it:

I don't know if you noticed the surface that the ribbon sits on is flat.  I embossed the whole folder except that row.

Here's what the folder looks like:

I made a template using 3 stacked pieces of chipboard.  How much you use will depend on the thickness.  Using an X-acto knife, remove the chipboard where you DO NOT want any embossing.

You're ready to emboss using this Cuttlebug combination:

Plate A
Embossing folder with paper in it
Chipboard template
Plate C (mine's been well used but it's still good)

That's all there is to it!

Be sure to go over to my post at the DT blog to get in on the drawing!

Thanks for stopping by!
