Give Thanks Pumpkin

Hello!  Today for Joy's Life, I've got a 3D project for you!  For this week's post, I thought I'd make an amigurumi pumpkin and embellish it with one of Joy's wonderful stamps.

As you can see, this saying from Joy's It's All Fall Puns set goes perfect with my pumpkin.

I love how it adds a special touch to the leaves.  If you don't have this wonderful rubber stamp set, you can get yours here.

I learned how to make amigurumi items by watching videos on YouTube.  Here's a link to one of the many helpful videos out there.   It's pretty simple thing to do.

The leaves were cut with my Silhouette. I inked the  edges and stamped them with Joy's stamps.

I think if I have time, I'm going to try to make these for my siblings and give them out on Thanksgiving!

Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate any comments you leave!  Hope you have a nice day.

Multi-color Embossing

Hello, everyone!  This week on JoysLife.com we've been creating embossed projects.  If you've been following the DT Blog the past few days, you've seen some really neat ideas!

I thought I'd break out my brayer, embossing folder, and some Kaleidacolor Ink.

This is a fun stamp and it comes from Joy's It's All Fall Puns set.  I know my in-laws from Missouri will love the saying!

All of Joy's stamps are available for purchase here.

What you need for this technique is a brayer

ink pad ( I used Desert Heat for this project)

and embossing folder (I bought this Craft Concepts Lollipop Trees embossing folder at my local stamp store)

I loaded up the brayer with ink and applied it to the inside of the folder.  I then added a piece of paper to the folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.  It's as easy as that!

Well, that's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate any comments you leave!

Have a great day!

Howl Are You Halloween Card

Hello! I hope you are finding some time to create some Halloween/Fall projects. We've been having fun here at Joy's Life's DT blog with a Free For All week.

I remembered that I bought this super cute Cottage Cutz die last year and decided to use it.

The stamp comes from Joy's Halloween Puns Set.  It would work great with projects featuring all kinds of creatures that howl!

There's still time for you to grab your own Halloween Puns here.

If the paper I used looks familiar, I used the same paper pack for the green, brown, and orange challenge we had a few weeks back.  This was actually the project I was going with.  I had to change it up a bit before I was kinda happy with the result!

I'm glad you could drop by today.  Thanks for leaving comments.  I really appreciate them!

Happy Fall You All!

Joy's Life Halloween Blog Hop Starts Today!

Welcome, to Joy's Life's Halloween Blog Hop!

If you came over from Joy, then you are in the right place.  If you want to start at the beginning, click the link above.  (I'm the second stop on this hop!)

Once again, I thought I'd combine two of my hobbies.  Last month it was Amigurumi...this time around, candy making!

I knew I wanted to do a zombie project and when I found these candy molds, my sick idea came together!  LOL! As you can see the gory idea of brains is not as bad when you realize there's an Oreo cookie inside it!

I used my Silhouette to cut the zombie file which came from SVG cuts new Spooky Cutie file.  The box is the 3D Candy Box in the Silhouette Online Store.  I just added the tab on the back for the zombie.  The candies and molds came from my local Joann's store.

In a funny twist, the stamp I used is from Joy's new It's All Fall set

It can be used for a turkey project and I thought, why not a zombie project, also?

Halloween Bat Treats!

Hello, there! I've got a Joy's Life DT Halloween Treat
project for you today.   I am so glad to make it through this hot Summer and into my favorite season, Fall! With it comes my favorite holiday, Halloween!

I made these super cute and simple to make bats, using my Cameo.  If you have to create a lot of treats, this is one project that can be mass produced.

Joy's Holiday Occasions stamp set is a must have set since it covers so many holidays.

Grab yourself a set here.  It's still early enough to receive it by Oct 31st for those Halloween projects.

I used the Bat Candy Bar Wrapper file and cut it out on my Cameo.  Add a few googly eyes, decorative twine, and Joy's rubber stamp and you are set!

Are you making any Halloween projects?  Leave a comment and a link, and I'll stop by!

Be sure to drop by this Saturday because Joy's Life is hosting a Halloween Blog Hop!  Hope to see you there!
