When I found out what the subject of the hop was going to be, I immediately knew what I wanted to create. 

The stamp I used comes from one of my favorite of Joy's stamp sets, Pun In The Sun! 

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut this SVG cuts file  from DCWV's Green Stack paper pack.

Don't you just love the details, such as the curtains?  I may give this to my sister who just got an Airstream or I may be selfish and keep it for myself!  ;)

Joy's Life 3D Animals & Card Folds Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Joy's Life's 3D Animals & Card Folds Blog Hop! We thought we'd combine two of our favorite things into one hop...animals and paper crafting!

  This time around, I fired up my Cameo.  (I think it's been awhile because I temporarily forgot how to connect to the computer! LOL!) 


I decided to make this 3D Owl Treat Box. 

None of the papers I had really clicked so I decided to use Washi tape on him.  I also embossed the die cut to give it some texture. This pattern had buttons you could cut from paper but I used real buttons.  Didn't realize the ribbon would look like a cowlick but I like it!
 
The stamp I used is from Joy's Wildlife Puns set.

 I found these SUPER cute buttons at Michaels.  

I picked up a set for me and a second set to share with a lucky hopper!  There are, believe it or not, 42 buttons of different sizes in each container.  

You can't tell from the pic but the lid is a button, also!

Flip Flopping Fabulous Box

Hello, everyone!  Hope you are doing well. 

Life here in Colorado Springs is starting to get back to normal after the Waldo Canyon Fire.  We were lucky we didn't get evacuated.  My thoughts often drift to those who lost everything and to the great firefighters that have been working around the clock to save our beautiful forests.  

For some fun, today I've got a Joy's Life Design Team 3-D project for you.

When I saw Joy's newest stamp set, Pun In The Sun, I knew I had to make one of these boxes! (I only wish I could wear it!)

I know of a few nieces that would love to receive one of these!

 This is one of the many fun sayings that are part of this set.

I used my Silhouette to create this.  I bought the file from SVG shop.  (Last I looked, it was a FREE file, so go grab yourself a copy!)  I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to put together! 

The papers I used are from 3 Little Bugs Ellie paper collection. (I was lucky to grab some from my LSS at $.25/sheet...what a deal!!) The large flower was an image on one of the papers that I cut out, popped up, and added Glossy Accents to the center to make is shine.

"Life is the flower..." Mother's Day Purse

Hello, everyone! Hope you are all having a creative day.

Just in time for May 13th, over at Joy's Life's Design Team blog we are featuring floral projects for Mother's Day this week. 

I made this little purse for my mom. I'm going to put a gift card and a couple of small presents in it.  

This nice saying comes from Joy's Tag You're It - Set Two.  If you don't have it yet, you can purchase it here.

I used my trusty Cameo to make this project and the  following files... 3D trapezoid purse, bow - petals, and 3D flower heart petal.  All the papers come from Echo Park Paper's new Hello Summer set.  (I just love the happy colors!)
