Kitty Friend Card

Hi, everyone!  Thought I'd share with you a quick 3x3 card that I made using Joy's Life's Lot's Of Pun, Paper Smooches' Nine Lives stamp set, and washi tape.  I sent one to Joy to show my appreciation for letting me be part of her wonderful design team.

I had fun coloring these images and the 3x3 format seems to work well for me.  I'll be making more of these in the future.

Hope you have a good week!

Valentine's Day Interlocking Gate Fold Card

Hi, everyone!  I recently found some time to just play in my hobby room.  I made this Valentine's Day card by doing a variation of a gate fold card.  This is a picture of it closed.

This is what it looks like when it is partially opened.

For this neat look, I used my Nestabilities to cut the white and scalloped oval.  I then glued the scallop oval onto one half of the gate fold and the white oval on the other half.  Just make sure that you are lining them up before the glue dries.  The cute bear is cut at 3.5" from Cricut's Create A Critter 2 cartridge.  The stamped saying is from Lots Of Pun set available at JoysLife.com.

It has been an eternity since I have had a project ready in time to enter in challenges.  So here goes, I'm entering them in the following:

I hope you have a nice Valentine's week.

If you haven't done so already, there's still time to get your name in for a chance to win some great blog candy here!

Felt Cat Card

Hi, everyone!

I'm getting in on the fun this week with Joy's Design Team.  If you have been following this weeks posts, we've been using techniques that are new to us, and maybe, you as well.

I've got a small collection of metal dies because I don't consider them cost effective since you can't change their size.  In the past, I'd only been using them with paper.  My LSS started carrying 100% wool felt so I had to pick some up. Well, needless to say....I am HOOKED!

Here's what I made with that great material and Joy's wonderful stamps!

The kitty is a die that I also picked up at my LSS.  I picked up a few different cats and can't wait to use them all.

The stamp I used came from Joy's Lots Of Pun set.  I made a few of these cards because this sentiment can be used for a birthday, congratulations, or a thank you card.

I was surprised how the metal die cut 100% wool felt like butter!   I really like the texture and look of the felt.  I think it adds a nice touch to the card.

If you have felt and some dies, I hope you'll break them out and experiment.  Add Joy's stamps to the mix and you've got yourself one really neat project!

Kitty Cat Swatch Tag Book

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by!  I've got another post for JoysLife.com.  As you can tell from earlier DT posts this week, we are all doing our version of a Swatch Book.

I remember when I was a little girl, my dad installed Formica counter tops.  He had samples of all the colors available and they were bound with a key chain. Looking back, I realized that those were Swatch Books!

Since I have a house full of kitties, I decided I'd make a cat themed one.

The stamp I used on the cover is from Joy's Halloween Puns Set!

Here's where I'll journal about my cat, Panzer.  The stamps and on the next two pages are from Joy's Lots Of Puns set.

This next page features a picture of Panzer with a stamp from Joy's new Pun In The Sun set. It's perfect for him because he is the sweetest cat EVER!
The next two pages feature stamps from Joy's Sweet Popsicle Puns set. The paw print and the heart come from Lots Of Pun.

This final page uses Joy's Sweet Popsicle Puns set again and sums up Panzer so well!

All the papers and embellishments come from 3 Bugs In A Rug Frisky paper collection.  The cards are cut 3x5 and I rounded the corners for a softer look.

This was a lot of fun and is inspiring me to make  journaling cards in the hopes of getting back into scrap booking.  Let me know what you think and if you'll try this someday!

Hello Kitty with Cri-Kits!

Hello, all!

I have exciting news!  Joy's Life has teamed up with Cri-Kits and I can tell you, these markers are so fun to use!

I immediately knew that I wanted to draw Hello Kitty and use her on a card.

This lovely saying is from Joy's Lots of Pun stamp set.  Grab yours here!

I used Cri-Kits Regular & Neon set to draw Hello Kitty.

They carry pen holders that work with Cricut, Pazzles, Silhouette, and Eclips!

This card is a larger 6.25" x 4.5" size.  I drew Hello Kitty from Cricut's HK Greetings cartridge at 3".  I then cut the bow, nose, and eyes using card stock.  I cut a yellow mat to highlight HK and then framed that with a checkered mat softened with patterned scissors. A little bit of hand drawn stitching and I was done!

Come back TOMORROW because Joy's Life is hosting a Cri-Kits blog hop!

I used my Silhouette and multiple colors of Cri-Kits to showcase what you can do with these fabulous markers!

Hope to see you!

Suitcase Scrapbook

Hello, everyone!  Hope this post finds you doing well.

Today, I have my first project for the Summer Term on  Joy's Life.com Design Team!
This week, we are making projects that are scrapbook related.  I've been wanting to do one of these books and here's what I came up with.

The stamp I used is from Joy's Lots Of Puns set. The whole stamp says "A whale of a good time" but I just inked the part that I needed for this project.  If you don't have these versatile stamps, you can get them here

The cute suitcase file comes from Designs From Cloud 9.  I used my Cameo to cut it and did not change the size.  All the papers come from Simple Stories Destinations paper pack.

Here's more pics of the rest of the album. I plan on filling it with photos of our last trip up to Estes Park.

That's all that I have for today. Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you are going to try this out!

All your comments are appreciated.

Hey Chickie! Easter Treat Boxes

Hello, all you paper crafters!

This week for Joy's Life, we are creating Spring or Easter projects.  I used my Cameo to make  some treat boxes that hold jelly beans to give to my family on Sunday.

Here's a closeup of one of the boxes. The saying is from Joy's Life's Lots Of Pun stamp set.
If you don't already have this fun set of stamps, you can get them HERE.

I used my Cameo to fill the box file with a JPEG images from Nancy Kubo's Hunny Bunnies paper pack from Lettering Delights.  Then I cut the printed boxes out.

I designed the tag using Hunny Bunnies graphic files.  Here's a screen shot of with the several steps that I took to make the tags.

I love the Print and Cut feature.  You can make super looking projects in a short amount of time.  I just added some buttons and ribbon to spice the project up.

Later this month, I hope you can join us for a Teacher's Gifts Blog Hop!  There will be plenty of blog candy to go around!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  I appreciate the time you take to browse and leave comments!  :)

All Occasion Cards

Hello, all you paper crafters out there! I hope you have been having a wonderful day so far!

I am so excited because today is the first day that I post as a member of Joy's Life's Design Team! Yay! Joy is such a nice and generous person and I am honored to be part of this great team! This group of ladies is super talented so I hope you'll stick with us in the coming months as we get creative with Joy's great products!

This week we were given the opportunity to create whatever we chose to.
If this your first time visiting my blog, you'll see that I like to craft in vibrant colors.

For this weeks project, I came up with a super card set using Joy's Lots Of Pun stamp set. If you don't already have it, you can buy it HERE!

I used Cricut's Create A Critter for this project and paper from Pebbles Inc's Hip Hip Hooray! line. I welded a flower on my Cricut Gypsy for the base of each of these cards. They measure about 4.5" I used my circle Nestibilites to cut the frames and a scallop punch for the half circles. A Souffle pen was used for the hand drawn stitching.

What I love about clear stamps is that you can curve them if you want to

As you can see, this is a great stamp set. It comes with 21 puns and 2 images.

These super cute images go well with the Lots Of Pun stamp set

I hope you enjoy the projects for today. Thanks for stopping by! I read and appreciate every comment!

Joy's Life DT Call!

Hello, everyone!

I had to make this card when I found out that Joy at Joy's Life was having a DT Call! I was super excited since she has such great ideas and rubber stamps. I decided I would put my hand up since my last DT experience was fun!

Here's the punny card I came up with:

The saying is from Joy's Lots Of Puns Stamp set. I thought I'd use it to mean that it was sweet that she was having a DT call and that cupcake sure does look sweet, also!

Both the snake and cupcake are from the Silhouette online store. I designed the bracket myself using the Designer Studio. The paper is from Paper Studio's I Love Baking Scrapbook Kit. The circle and scallop are Nestabilities.

I think the odds are tight to make it on her DT but Joy's videos were some of the first I found about 1.5 years ago. I immediately liked her sense of humor! At the time, I didn't realize how much paper crafting was out there in internet. That was the beginning of my blog and challenge adventure.

Hope you all are having a good day!
