Howl Are You Halloween Card

Hello! I hope you are finding some time to create some Halloween/Fall projects. We've been having fun here at Joy's Life's DT blog with a Free For All week.

I remembered that I bought this super cute Cottage Cutz die last year and decided to use it.

The stamp comes from Joy's Halloween Puns Set.  It would work great with projects featuring all kinds of creatures that howl!

There's still time for you to grab your own Halloween Puns here.

If the paper I used looks familiar, I used the same paper pack for the green, brown, and orange challenge we had a few weeks back.  This was actually the project I was going with.  I had to change it up a bit before I was kinda happy with the result!

I'm glad you could drop by today.  Thanks for leaving comments.  I really appreciate them!

Happy Fall You All!

Candy Apple Pumpkin Picking Color Challenge Card

Hello!  The weather has been so nice here in Colorado with the change in the season.  Here's a pic I took on a drive a couple of weeks ago to Aspen.

If you've been following the posts this week on the Joy's Life's Design Team blog, you've seen that we are doing a Pumpkin Picking Color challenge. (That is....green, brown, and orange.)

For some reason, I really struggled with this one.
I then broke out my brand new Create A Critter 2 cartridge and ran with it!

Isn't that candy apple fun? And the stamp is very versatile!

The saying comes from Joy's Halloween Puns set.

If you don't have you own, you can get it here in time for Halloween.

I'm really loving these stamps and my new cartridge!  The paper I used is from K&Co's Spooktacular pack.  The candy apple is on CAC2 page 58 and was cut at 3.5"  I think you'll be seeing more CAC in my future posts since I love these carts so much! :)

Are you working on any Halloween projects?  I'd love to hear about them.  Leave a comment and a link, and I'll be sure to drop by and say, "hi"!

I hope you have a great day!

My First Cottage Cutz Card!

Hello, all you crafters out there!
I just wanted to share a card that I made using my first Cottage Cutz Die that I purchased at my LSS! I couldn't resist this Trick Or Treat Puppy. I came right home and starting die cutting him. I think he's so cute! For once, I am pretty happy with the card first go around. I used a combination of kraft, Doodlebug, DCWV, and Reminisce paper for this project. I also got to play with my Ranger Ink Applicator and I really am loving that tool! The inside of the card says "Have a Happy Howl-o-ween!

For the fun of it, I'm going to enter it into More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday #57 challenge - Anything goes!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Halloween Easel Card

Hello, everyone!

Cher over at Cher's Studio is currently hosting This To That Tuesday Challenge #5 ending tomorrow. The challenge is to make an easel card using images from the fall. I was recently a lucky winner of a gift certificate from her company, the Digi Bistro so I thought I'd try to throw together a card for this challenge.

I used SVGs from the sets Halloween Town and Pick Your Poison for my card. The base of the card was cut at 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5" and 8.25". You then cut another piece of card stock at 4.25" x 5.5" and adhere it to the longer base. As they say, easy peasy and you get a pretty cool looking card that has its own display stand!

I tell you, I am LOVING her SVGs and look forward to playing with them more in the future! If you get a chance, go check out her websites. She's got some REALLY cute stuff!

Hope you enjoy the card!

Window Fold Halloween Card

Hello, all!

Boy it feels like forever since I last made a post! I know I need to get a start on my Halloween cards but it seems like all kinds of things come up that keep me from getting into my hobby room!

Yesterday, I finally felt a spark of creativity! The weather was gloomy & rainy...not great for yard work...so I finally went into my room and this is what I came up with!

The card can be folded so it fits in an envelope. Cartridges used for this project were Happy Hauntings, Simply Charmed, and Mini Monsters.

I'm going to enter this in Cardz TV's Challenge #91 - Things That Go Bump In The Night
and add it to Pink By Designs Facebook Page for Fan Flash Friday!
