Hello Kitty with Cri-Kits!

Hello, all!

I have exciting news!  Joy's Life has teamed up with Cri-Kits and I can tell you, these markers are so fun to use!

I immediately knew that I wanted to draw Hello Kitty and use her on a card.

This lovely saying is from Joy's Lots of Pun stamp set.  Grab yours here!

I used Cri-Kits Regular & Neon set to draw Hello Kitty.

They carry pen holders that work with Cricut, Pazzles, Silhouette, and Eclips!

This card is a larger 6.25" x 4.5" size.  I drew Hello Kitty from Cricut's HK Greetings cartridge at 3".  I then cut the bow, nose, and eyes using card stock.  I cut a yellow mat to highlight HK and then framed that with a checkered mat softened with patterned scissors. A little bit of hand drawn stitching and I was done!

Come back TOMORROW because Joy's Life is hosting a Cri-Kits blog hop!

I used my Silhouette and multiple colors of Cri-Kits to showcase what you can do with these fabulous markers!

Hope to see you!

Sundae Card

Hello, everyone!  It's Patty here with an Oldie But Goodie card for you today.  (That is...using stamps from sets released earlier than this year by Joy at JoysLife.com!)

I know I can always use birthday cards so here's what I made using a yummy combination of colors.

For this project, I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Yummy Puns. It is one of my favorites! I used Memento's Bahama Blue ink for the sentiment. (Love that color!)

If you want your own set of Yummy Puns, you can get it here.

I used my Cricut and Birthday Bash to cut the Ice Cream Sundae out at approximately 3.5". The paper is We R Memory keepers Sweet Spot that I found at Archivers. It's die-cut on the edge so I incorporated that into my card.

I embellished the card with hand drawn stitching and fun ribbon. I made 2 cards at a finished size of 4.25" x 6" out of one 12x12 sheet.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my project for the day.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments!

Now...do yourself a favor and go get yourself some ice cream! :)

SN@P! by Simple Stories

Hi, all!  I just started scrap booking again after a several year hiatus using kits from Simple Stories! (This video features their newest line coming out called SN@P.)

It's a way of simplifying scrap booking by using pockets and coordinating embellishments and papers.  I'm combining page protectors from WR Memory Keepers, Project Life, and Simple Stories for more variety in my book.  As time allows, I hope to photograph my pages as inspiration to any of you who are thinking about using any of these products!

Have a great day!

Fun Popcorn Packaging

Hello, everyone!  Glad you could stop by today.

With the holiday season right around the corner, Joy's Design Team is focusing on gift packaging ideas this week. (To see the projects posted so far this week, click here.)

This microwave popcorn packaging is quick and easy to make.  You could throw one of these together for a last minute gift for someone special!

To make this, all you do is cut paper to fit the popcorn pack.  Stamp the saying and mount it with foam tape. (I used Lady Bug ink from Memento.)   I added a little ribbon and Sizzix flowers cut with my Cuttlebug and was finished in no time!

This saying from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set is so much fun and has lots of uses.  Grab your own set here if you don't have it already.

Let me know if you're going to try out this simple project.  Thanks for stopping by.  I do appreciate it! :)

Back To School Encouragement Card

Hello, everyone!  Thanks for taking the time to drop by my blog.

Today, I've got a project for you as part of Joy's Life's Design Team Back To School week.

I wanted to create a cheerful card you could give to any child in your life, encouraging them to have a great day at school.

This saying from Joy's new Pun In The Sun stamp set gets the message across.

You can grab your own set here!

Now for the details on how I made this.  I used a 4.25x5.5 base for the card.  The notebook page is just just slightly smaller cut using my Cameo.  I also cut the books at about 3" on the same cutter.  The cute whale is from Create A Critter and he's cut at 3.5".  To finish it off, I scored lines across the notebook paper and down the pages of the books to add some texture.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my card for the day!  Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments.

I hope you all have a whale of a great day!
